Can You Hear Me Now? The Challenge of Youth-Adult Connection
Monday, May 19, 2008 - Albany, NY
Youth and adults both want to see change in their communities: a healthy environment, an end to violence, opportunities for all—there are so many ways we want to make the world a better place. But most of us are more comfortable with our own age group, and we are cautious about working together across generations. At Can You Hear Me Now?, the youth/adult conference sponsored by ACT for Youth, we will focus on youth perspectives today, we’ll explore how young people and adults can take action in their communities together, and we’ll talk!
This conference is designed for youth and adults together.
Keynote: Marc Prensky
Educator, game designer, and author of Don’t Bother Me Mom – I’m Learning, Prensky argues that the digital age has caused radical change in youth--and adults need to get on board. Prensky is also creator of the sites www.gamesparentsteachers.com and www.socialimpactgames.com.
